Introduction to the World of Tessellation

In this course, we delve into the creative possibilities of tessellation and experience the transformation of a paper sheet into two and three-dimensional paper sculptures. First there will be an introduction to different folding techniques as we work with different types of paper and materials. We will then create product samples to see how the folding structures can be applied functionally. Thus, we can bring this fascinating art form to the functional design of books and packaging. At the end of the week we will take time for experimentation and have the opportunity to develop our own design ideas.
