Origata is the exquisite Japanese art of wrapping and gift-giving. Drawing inspiration from this aesthetic, Julie Auzillon developed a refined bookbinding technique for binding one to three layers of booklets. The ribbons or strips used serve both functional and decorative purposes. This binding method is ideal for protecting booklet fragments or creating flexible, blank books. Another book structure, where individual sheets are attached to a flexible spine using tapes, offers inspiration for creating your own glue-free book objects.
