Leporellos from A to Z

Monday, 11. December 2017 to Friday, 15. December 2017

The accordion book, a timeless book form reinterpreted
The leporello, also known as an accordion fold or concertina fold, goes back to the 9th century, but has only been called leporello since Mozart’s opera “Don Giovanni”. In this course, participants will not only learn to make the conventional version of this timeless book form, but will also be introduced to various new and sophisticated forms of the accordion fold. In their final form, these elaborations on the accordion merely hint at the traditional leporello. The sky is the limit of imagination!
