Bastien Conus
Professional training, career
Bastien Conus is a child of Lake Geneva and an admirer of Ramuz and Tadao Fukada.
Driven by his passion for the element of water, paper and ink, he pursues a hyper-
materialist research that is experimental and invites participation in the democratic
process.
From 2019: teaching and moderating various workshops on Suminagashi, the art of
floating Japanese ink. (Vivianne Fontaine, Sogetsu, Japan Impact, Japanese-Swiss
Society, retirement and nursing homes, community centres, etc.).
Current Activity
He develops an anti-traditionalist practice of floating Japanese ink in everyday life and
at the local level.
